We walked into court as enemies… and walked out holding hands

Our divorce hearing was set. But with Pandit Ji’s guidance, the story took a turn we never expected.

We had reached the point of no return. Years of hurt had piled up, and finally, we filed for divorce. On the morning of our first court hearing, I felt empty—relieved it would be over, but also shattered that love had ended this way.

A week before the hearing, my elder sister begged me to speak with Pt. Dayaram Joshi. I told her it was too late, but she insisted. Out of respect, I agreed. On the call, Daya Sir said, “If the love between you is real, then court papers cannot erase it. Let us test the bond before you let the law decide.”

He immediately began a 7–11 day Yagya and gave me strict instructions: no character assassination, no anger in court, and no arguments at home. “Stand steady,” he told me, “and let the process speak where words have failed.”

Something began to shift. My wife, who had been stone-cold toward me, started to soften. In court, instead of screaming, we sat quietly. The judge even remarked, “You two don’t look like you hate each other.” That moment broke something inside me—I realized we didn’t.

By the end of the process, we withdrew our petition. It wasn’t magic; it was clarity. For the first time in years, we spoke honestly—no blame, just truth. Today, we are still together, and though it’s not perfect, it is real.

Pandit Ji once told me, “Courts can end a marriage, but only hearts can end love.” He was right. That day in court, love won.
